PESHAWAR: A Pakistani military plane today crashed due to a technical fault in the restive tribal area in the country's northwest, injuring three army officers on board.

An official release said the ' Mashak' plane hit the Wana stadium in South Waziristan just after take off from Wana.

The crash occurred due to a technical fault injuring three army officers, including a colonel and two majors, it said.

The condition of the injured was said to be stable.
