Pakistan summons India's DHC over ceasefire violations along LoC

Director General (South Asia and SAARC) Mohammad Faisal summoned J P Singh and "condemned the unprovoked ceasefire violations" by Indian troops, the Foreign Office said.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan today summoned India's Deputy High Commissioner here after three civilians died in alleged "ceasefire violations" by Indian troops along the Line of Control.

Director General (South Asia and SAARC) Mohammad Faisal summoned J P Singh and "condemned the unprovoked ceasefire violations" by Indian troops, the Foreign Office said.

It said those killed in firing by Indian troops yesterday included a woman. Faisal urged the Indian side to respect the 2003 ceasefire arrangement, the foreign office said.
