Pakistan Rangers DG calls BSF chief, urges end to firing
The director-general of Pakistani Rangers called up his BSF counterpart in "great desperation" after retaliatory firing by the Border Security Force.

BSF DG DK Pathak has assured his counterpart that BSF will not fire unless it is provoked. Pakistan also also lodged protest over ' ceasefire violations' with Indian deputy high commissioner JP Singh in Islamabad. BSF, however, accused the Rangers of targeting their 32 border outposts and several hamlets in Samba and Kathua districts that killed one and injured seven.
