Earlier, Khan had told ET that Ismail was part of the group that killed six policemen, including an SHO in Anantnag, last month. “The attack on Amaranth pilgrims was carried out by the LeT and masterminded by Pakistani militant Ismail,” Khan said here.
DIG (South Kashmir) SP Pani said: “This attack is a very complicated case. I cannot comment on this right now. Investigations are on.”
The government forces have already launched a hot pursuit against the terrorists and are expecting a breakthrough soon. “I will identify these guys within 3-4 days,” a senior CRPF official said.
