'Pak drone incursions drop to near zero in Jammu Region'

Border Security Force officials have informed that anti-drone systems installed along the international border have stalled drone activity from across the border and that the forces are equipped with the latest technology and weaponry to deal with any challenge.

Inspector general of BSF, Jammu frontier, DK Boora, while speaking with reporters on the 60th Raising Day celebrations of the force, said that Jammu border will always remain sensitive irrespective of the weather conditions and the focus is that not a single person should be able to infiltrate from the international border.

"Drone activities from across the border have come down and the exact reason for it is known to them (Pakistan) only. However, since we have upgraded our (anti-drone) systems on the borders, this problem (drone incursions) has dropped to almost zero in Jammu which proves that our technology is successful," said Boora.


He also refuted reports that foreign infiltrators active in the mountains of Pirpanjal and Chenab regions of Jammu division had infiltrated from the international border in Samba of Jammu and Punjab border. "I don't know who gave you this information (infiltration happened from the international border.) Nobody has shared with the BSF until now where and when this infiltration happened," said Boora.

He said heavy deployment of manpower and setting up of the technical surveillance along the entire border across Jammu region will be replicated in other places across the country. "Technological upgradation happens on all sides... If any new thing is available, then it is available for us too... I assure you that our government and the forces do not leave any such shortage in upgradation."
