"The Delhi Declaration on counterterrorism charted by India is a pathfinder. Our shoes, as the head of the counterterror committee in UNSC, are not easy to fill. The country that would succeed India as the chair of the committee has also admitted that," Kamboj said at a session titled 'India's UNSC Presidency: New Approach for Reformed Multilateralism and Counter Terrorism' organised by Ananta Aspen Centre.
The session was organised as India wraps up its two-year stint in UNSC on December 31.
Kamboj said, "The process to reform UNSC is a complex one. All P-5 members need to be on board. And there are spoilers. But there is commitment at the highest level of the UN for UNSC reforms. 73 world leaders have spoken in favour of UN reforms."
