NSCN(K) and anti-talk faction of ULFA claims killing four Assam Rifles men

GUWAHATI: The Khaplang faction of NSCN and anti-talk faction of ULFA on Monday claimed that they have killed four Assam Rifles jawans and injured six others in an ambush in Aboi town in Mon district of Nagaland on Sunday.

In a statement to media houses Assistant Information and publicity secretary of anti-talk ULFA, Arundoy Assam stated, “In pursuance of the truth and common cause of liberation and to enhance the progress for National liberation movement of united national liberation front of WESEA, ULFA and NSCN undertook a joint military operation against common enemy India.”

The statement added, “a joint team attacked 40 Assam Rifles and 164TA (Naga) battalion of Indian security Forces near Tenyak river, about 2 km away from Aboi town under Mon district.”


The outfit claimed that four soldiers were killed and six or more injured. The rebels claimed that they were able to recover some guns and weapons.

This area is stronghold of Khaplang militants. On May 3, 2015 eight Assam Rifles jawans were killed and four injured, one militant belonging to Khaplang faction was also killed in an ambush in Changlangsu in Mon district.
