NSCN (IM) alleges needless frisking of villagers by Indian Army

​​In a statement, the outfit stated that the approach of Indian Army to look for its members reminded one of the pre-ceasefire days, and such a conduct by them exasperated both villagers as well as commuters.

It stated that by creating such an unpleasant situation, the Indian Army displayed suspicion towards NSCN (IM).
GUWAHATI: The NSCN (IM) has accused the Indian Army of returning to pre-ceasefire days, and is frisking villagers on the road leading to Camp Hebron.

Hebron is the headquarter of NSCN (IM).

In a statement, the outfit stated that the approach of Indian Army to look for its members reminded one of the pre-ceasefire days, and such a conduct by them exasperated both villagers as well as commuters.


It stated that by creating such an unpleasant situation, the Indian Army displayed suspicion towards NSCN (IM). This approach was not compatible with the present ceasefire arrangement between the Government of India and the organisation.

Reiterating its sincere desire for peace and not any kind of conflict, the organisation said it looked forward with hope towards building a peaceful and lasting political solution.
