NSA Ajit Doval in Moscow to discuss security and energy with counterpart today

Ajit Doval's second trip to Moscow since last year will also give an opportunity to get a briefing on the current state of Russia-Ukraine war, said people familiar with the matter.

National security advisor Ajit Doval will hold critical meetings with his Russian counterpart Nikolay Patrushev in Moscow on Wednesday and Thursday with an eye on pushing security and energy partnership amid reports of an increase in oil trade and offer to India to join Checkmate fifth-generation fighter jet project.

Doval's second trip to Moscow since last year will also give an opportunity to get a briefing on the current state of Russia-Ukraine war, said people familiar with the matter.

ET was the first to report that Doval will visit Moscow in February. Russia is reportedly set to offer India a proposal to join Checkmate fifth-generation fighter jet project.
