NSA Ajit Doval emphasises on defence R&D with France

Special attention would be paid in bilateral ties to cooperation in security related aspects of the global commons including Space, Cyber and Maritime to ensure peace, stability in the Indo-Pacific, sources said.

Indian NSA Ajit Doval met Sebastien Lecornu, Minister of the Armed Forces of France in New Delhi and among other issues emphasised on research & development and defence manufacturing in line with future warfare.

Both officials discussed a range of issues of common interest including global, regional and bilateral security-related subjects.

Particular emphasis was laid on R&D and manufacturing in line with requirements of future wars, sources said.


Both sides could strategise jointly and identify priority areas for co-development in line with India’s Make in India policy.

Doval and Lecornu highlighted the need for an action-oriented and time bound approach in line with the visions of PM Narendra Modi and President Emmanuel Macron.
