No specific input about ISIS threat to Goa: Laxmikant Parsekar
PANAJI: Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar today ruled out getting any specific terror threat to the state from the Islamic State (IS).

"We have not received any specific input besides a general alert," Parsekar told reporters reacting to the media reports which claimed that Goa is on the prime target of IS due to presence of a large number of foreigners here.

The chief minister said people should cooperate with the agencies to keep a track on suspicious activities.

"Our state intelligence sources report that the number of unverified tenants or occupants have increased. We have repeatedly asked people to verify occupants or tenants, but our calls are not met with proactive response," Parsekar said.

"The state has not received any terror-related specific inputs in the last six months," he said.
