New chief for Air Force Administrative College
COIMBATORE: Air Commodore V P S Rana today took over the command of Air Force Administrative College (AFAC) here.

He succeeds Air Commodore N S Vaidya, who has been posted on promotion to the IAF's Headquarters Training Command, an official release said.

Rana assumed charge at a ceremony attended by the personnel of the college here.

He was commissioned in the Administrative Branch in December, 1984 and is a Category 'A' Master Fighter Controller, with unique distinction of serving in all categories of Air Defence Control and Reporting units, the release said.

Before the present assignment, he had served as Principal Director of Air Force Works at Air Headquarter, New Delhi, and was awarded Vishisht Seva Medal for his distinguished service in 2014 and was commended by Chief of the Air Staff in 1995.
