KOHIMA: Joining the nation in observing Anti-Terrorism Day, Nagaland today affirmed to oppose all forms of terrorism and violence.

State Chief Secretary, Pankaj Kumar while remarking that South-East Asia and our country in particular has suffered huge losses due to acts of terrorism in the past, said there is more consensus and unity today among the various nations to stop the rule of gun.

He called upon the people to renew and resolve their pledge to stop terrorism to breed in our society.

Kumar also administered the Anti-Terrorism pledge to the gathering, which read, "We, the people of India, having, abiding faith in our country's tradition of non -violence and tolerance, hereby solemnly affirm to oppose with our strength, all forms of terrorism and violence. We Pledge to uphold and promote peace, social harmony, and, and understanding among all fellow human beings and fight the forces of disruption threatening human lives and values".

The day was also observed in all the district headquarters under the Deputy Commissioner and every state and central government offices.
