Myanmar army on Wednesday handed over five militants of banned Revolutionary People’s Front (RPF).

RPF is sister wing of People’s Liberation Army (PLA).

The official said that they were nabbed in Monywa under Sagaing Region in northwestern Myanmar in August last year.

On November 13, in a joint terror attack by the PLA and the Manipur Naga People’s Front killed Assam Rifles Colonel Viplav Tripathi and four jawans of the para-military force were gunned down in Churachandpur district bordering Myanmar. Colonel Tripathi’s wife and their 9-years-old son were also killed in the attack.
