MoD signs Rs 5,083 cr deals: ALH Mk-III, Shtil Missiles to boost India’s maritime security

The Ministry of Defence signed two key contracts worth Rs 5,083 crore to enhance the capabilities of the Indian Coast Guard and Indian Navy. The deals include six Advanced Light Helicopters (ALH) Mk-III for maritime operations and Surface-to-Air Vertical Launch Shtil missiles. The projects are expected to generate 65 lakh man-hours, involve 200+ MSMEs, and strengthen Aatmanirbhar Bharat and domestic defence manufacturing. The Shtil missile deal with Russia also underscores long-standing strategic cooperation.
