Militant killed in encounter in Manipur

The encounter took place between the militant of the unidentified militant outfit and AR at T-Minou village, the police said.

IMPHAL: A militant was killed by the troops of 11 Assam Rifles in the early hours of Thursday in Manipur's Chandel distric on Indo-Myanmar border, police said today.

The encounter took place between the militant of the unidentified militant outfit and AR at T-Minou village, the police said.

Assam Rifles recovered one .32 pistol and two landmines from the person of the killed militant, the police added.
