Militant held with arms in Assam

GUWAHATI: A cadre of the United Liberation Front of Barak Valley-R along with arms was apprehended at Joynagar in Assam's Cachar district today, a police spokesman said.

The ULFBV(R) militant was nabbed by Police with the help of public and he was identified as Torasen Riang alias Jhon of Riflemara of Hailakandi district, the spokesman said.

Police recovered an AK 47 rifle, one magazine and six rounds of live ammunition from his possession.
