Militant attack in J&K's Anantnag; eight injured

Four CRPF jawans and an equal number of civilians were injured in a grenade attack by militants in Anantnag district of south Kashmir today, police said.

SRINAGAR: Four CRPF jawans and an equal number of civilians were injured in a grenade attack by militants in Anantnag district of south Kashmir today, police said.

Militants lobbed a grenade on a CRPF party in Qazi Bagh area near K P Road Anantnag, leaving eight persons injured.

The injured were rushed to a hospital, the police said, adding the area has been cordoned off and a hunt has been launched to nab the attackers.

No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the attacks so far.
