Squadron Leader Manisha Padhi, an Indian Air Force (IAF) officer from the 2015 batch, made history on Monday by becoming the first woman in India to be appointed as Aide-de-Camp (ADC).

On November 29, Mizoram Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati appointed Squadron Leader Padhi as the ADC in a brief ceremony at the Raj Bhawan in Aizawl.

Squadron Leader Padhi officially began her role on November 29, reporting to the Governor and being introduced to the officers and staff of the Raj Bhavan in Aizawl.
