Representative image: 3 militants were arrested by security forces from different places in Bishnupur district and Imphal East district of Manipur, a police official said.
Imphal: Three militants belonging to two proscribed outfits have been arrested from Manipur's Thoubal and Imphal West districts, police said on Monday.

Thokchom Bango Singh (44), a self-styled captain of the People's Liberation Army, was arrested on Saturday with a pistol and 97 bullets, an official said.

On the other hand, two active cadres of KCP (PSC) were apprehended from Thoubal and Imphal West districts. Koijam Lamyanba Meitei (23) was arrested from Sangaiprou in Imphal West district and Lourembam Rojit (19) from Ningel Lamkhai area in Thoubal district, police said.

All have been arrested on the charge of extortion, they added.
