Security forces arrest 5 militants in Manipur
An official said that while a militant was arrested from Sawombung Khunjao in Imphal East district on Monday, four others were apprehended from near Khangtung village in Chandel district on Tuesday.
They have been identified as Mayanglambam Gandhi Singh (24), Langpoklakpam Sushil Singh (25), Laitonjam Kanheiya Singh (26), and Kangjam Naresh Meitei (20), the official said.

Security forces recovered arms and explosives from a hut during an operation at Irilbung area in Imphal East district on Wednesday. These included two AK rifles, one SLR rifle, a 9 mm carbine, four hand grenades, three magazines and 42 rounds of ammunition of different calibres.
