An armed man, roaming suspiciously along the international border with Pakistan in Anupgarh of Sriganganagar district of Rajasthan, has been arrested by BSF.

JAIPUR: An armed man, roaming suspiciously along the international border with Pakistan in Anupgarh of Sriganganagar district of Rajasthan, has been arrested by BSF, police said today.

The 42-year-old man, with arms and ammunition, was arrested yesterday from "6KB Chak" area of Anupgarh and was identified as Harvinder Singh alias Jaswinder Singh, deputy superintendent of police of Sriganganagar district Himanshu Kurdiya said.

One 28 bore revolver and 16 live cartridges were recovered from Singh, a local resident, he said.

The accused was produced before a magistrate's court which sent him to judicial custody today, he said.

Preliminary inquiry revealed that the arms and ammunition were issued in the name of the accused's father, he said, adding that a case has been registered.
