Kulbhushan Jadhav is an innocent, kidnapped Indian: MEA

MEA spokesperson also said government has no knowledge about Jadhav's where about and Pakistan has not shared any information about this yet.

"Jadhav is a kidnapped innocent Indian, who is a retired officer of the Indian Navy. This was communicated to Pakistan one year ago," Gopal Baglay, spokesperson of Ministry of External Affairs said.
NEW DELHI: Reiterating its earlier stand, India today said Indian citizen Kulbhushan Jadhav is innocent and was kidnapped from Iran.

"Kulbhushan Jadhav is a kidnapped innocent Indian, who is a retired officer of the Indian Navy. This was communicated to Pakistan one year ago," Gopal Baglay, spokesperson of Ministry of External Affairs said.

"The trail has no credibility and is farcical. The verdict is indefensible, and is in completely against international norm and human rights and Pakistan should be ready for any consequences if it execute the verdict against Jadhav," Baglay said while reiterating Sushma Swaraj's statement in Parliament.


Baglay also said that government has no knowledge about Jadhav's where about and Pakistan has not shared any information about his conditions despite 13 demands from India.
