KLA insurgent held by the Army in Manipur

IMPHAL: The Army has arrested a hardcore insurgent belonging to Kuki Liberation Army (KLA) from Kangpokpi market of Manipur's Senapati district, a defence release said here today.

Thangno Singsit (39) of Kangpokpi area was arrested on July 11 by troops of Red Shield Division of the Army.

One 9 mm pistol and two extortion notes were recovered from him.

The insurgent was handed over to Kangpokpi police, the release added.
