Maoists, Jehadis working together to overthrow elected government: Arun Jaitley
Jaitley said both Maoists and Jehadi separatists want to overthrow constitutionally elected government and abhor democracy.

In a blog post, Jaitley said, “The Jehadis believe that there is space for only one religion and the Maoist believes that there is space for none. Of late, a visible coordination between the two is becoming more and more apparent.”
He also defended Army action in Kashmir and slammed Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad (without naming him) for his remarks that more civilians than terrorists are killed by security forces. “In the last few years most citizens that the terrorists are killing are in the valley are f e l l ow Kashmiris,” he said.
Jaitley said both Maoists and Jehadi separatists want to overthrow constitutionally elected government and abhor democracy.
“In the last few years, they (Maoists) expanded their strategy and started coordinating with Jehadis and separatists notwithstanding their ideological dissimilarity.
The only thing common between them was violence, overthrow of the Constitutional order and secessionism, i.e. the breakup of India,” Jaitley said. The Union minister said though Congress would have “historically and ideologically” opposed these groups, they have earned sympathy in Rahul Gandhi’s heart.
Meanwhile, law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said the Congress of today “under the blessing of Sonia Gandhi and led by Rahul Gandhi” is in its observations and political behaviour “in sync with terrorists and their patrons”.
