The Srinagar-based Chinar Corps said a joint operation by the Army and police was launched in the Uri area of Baramullah district based on intelligence inputs on Saturday.
"Two individuals from Sopore apprehended by vigilant Chinar Warriors while attempting exfiltration in Uri Sector with inimical intent along with their accomplice guide. Further probe underway," the Chinar Corps said in a post on X.

Officials identified the apprehended persons as Adil Hussain, Ishfaq Lone and Jaffar Hafiz.
In a separate incident in the same area, Army personnel intercepted and apprehended a man from Pakistan of Kashmir (PoK) while he was crossing the Line of Control (LoC).

According to officials the man was identified as Zeeshan Mir, a 22-year-old resident of Muzaffarabad, based on his Pakistani national identity card.
During preliminary investigation Mir told officials that he has crossed the LoC to meet a girl on this side of the border after the two came in contact through social media, officials said.
