The Markaz Subhanallah complex underwent extensive reconstruction over the past year, with recent footage indicating that the facility has been brought back into use. The restoration reportedly includes rebuilt domes, fresh interior plastering, new paintwork and marble flooring covering areas that were damaged in the strikes.

The facility suffered severe structural damage during the retaliatory strikes carried out by India under Operation Sindoor.
Reports indicate that reconstruction also involved repairs to the main complex, where deep blast-affected areas were filled with concrete. Several adjoining structures, including the Al-Sabir seminary and residential buildings used by JeM leadership, were reportedly demolished to make way for new construction.
According to intelligence inputs, Pakistani authorities provided JeM with 250 million Pakistani rupees in cash, of which around 110 million rupees was reportedly allocated for rebuilding the central complex over a period of 15 months.

The restoration comes amid reports that operational control of the Bahawalpur facility has shifted to JeM chief Masood Azhar's brothers, Talha Al-Saif and Mohinuddin Aurangzeb, also known as Ammar Alvi, as Azhar remains incapacitated by health issues.
Sources said senior JeM figures Masood Azhar and Rauf Asghar continue to remain under government protection in Nawabshah district of Sindh.
