Jerusalem, Sep 23 (IANS) Israeli forces "are carefully planning the coming days" and their attacks against Hezbollah will intensify, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) chief Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi has said.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) released video evidence on Thursday, showing secondary explosions at buildings in southern Lebanon. The IDF claims these buildings were used by Hezbollah to store weapons inside civilian homes. Recent targeted strikes on Hezbollah locations in Lebanon aimed to neutralize immediate threats, the IDF stated.

Footage shared by the IDF showed Israeli forces targeting Hezbollah positions, resulting in secondary explosions. The IDF asserted these explosions were due to stored munitions. “Secondary Explosions = Stored Munitions It’s basic. Secondary explosions occur because we are precisely targeting the munitions of Hezbollah that are aimed at killing our civilians,” the IDF wrote on social media.

The video further suggested that civilians in these areas are living among explosives and are being used as human shields. "Instead of using their military assets to protect the people of Lebanon, Hezbollah uses the people of Lebanon to protect their military assets," the video stated.

IDF Chief Daniel Hagari explained that residents in certain areas of southern Lebanon were warned to evacuate to minimize civilian casualties. He noted that Hezbollah had heavily militarized their villages. The IDF also released images showing Hezbollah's arsenal, including a long-range rocket stored in a civilian residence, aimed at Israeli cities. This rocket was one of 1,300 targets, including cruise missiles, heavy rockets, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which were struck during the offensive.

The IDF indicated that these weapons were intended to cause significant destruction in Israel.
