ISIS terror conspiracy case: 15 arrested following NIA raids in Maharashtra, Karnataka
After the National Investigation Agency (NIA) searched 44 places in Karnataka and Maharashtra on Saturday, a total of 15 persons were taken into custody in connection with the ISIS terror conspiracy case from Pune, Maharashtra.

The anti-terror agency sleuths raided these locations in close coordination with the police forces of Maharashtra and Karnataka, sources said.
Among the 44 locations subject to raids since the morning, officials from the agency conducted searches at one site in Karnataka, two in Pune, 31 in Thane Rural, nine in Thane city, and one in Bhayander.
The case pertains to a criminal conspiracy hatched by accused persons and their associates who had pledged to the violent extremist ideology of proscribed terrorist organizations, including Al-Qaeda and ISIS, and had formed a terrorist gang.
The terrorist groups had enlisted similarly minded young individuals into their ranks, in addition to organizing religious teachings to initiate violent jihad with the goal of establishing Islamic governance in India.
