Can the US fight Mideast war 'forever'? Trump says yes, but admits 'not where we want to be' on weapon stockpiles
America's mid-tier weapons are at peak levels, Donald Trump says. He claims these supplies can sustain conflicts indefinitely. However, the former president admits the country's most advanced weaponry is not yet where it should be. Trump criticize...

Donald Trump
In a lengthy post on Truth Social, Trump declared that the United States has a “virtually unlimited supply” of mid-tier munitions and claimed wars could be fought “forever” and “very successfully” using existing supplies. However, he acknowledged that the most advanced weapons stockpiles are not yet at desired levels, even though additional high-grade weaponry is stored in allied countries abroad.
“The United States Munitions Stockpiles have, at the medium and upper medium grade, never been higher or better,” Trump wrote. “At the highest end, we have a good supply, but are not where we want to be.”

Focus on top-tier weapons amid Mideast tensions
Trump’s remarks come at a time of heightened tensions and direct military exchanges in the Middle East, with Washington closely monitoring developments and reinforcing its regional posture. His reference to stockpile levels -- especially the admission regarding the “highest end” -- is likely to draw scrutiny as the US weighs the risks of a prolonged confrontation in the region.
At the same time, Trump struck a combative tone, asserting that America is “stocked, and ready to WIN, BIG,” and contrasting his record with that of his predecessor.
Fresh attack on Biden over Ukraine aid
Trump sharply criticised former president Joe Biden, accusing him of depleting America’s top-tier arsenal by sending “Hundreds of Billions of Dollars” worth of weapons to Ukraine. Referring to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as“P.T. Barnum (Zelenskyy!),” Trump alleged that high-end equipment was given away without being replaced.
Trump claimed that he had rebuilt the US military during his first term and was continuing to do so.
‘Wars can be fought forever’
In one of the most striking parts of his statement, Trump suggested that the United States could sustain extended conflicts with its current inventory.“Wars can be fought ‘forever,’ and very successfully, using just these supplies,” he said, referring to medium- and upper-medium grade munitions.
The comments are likely to intensify debate in Washington over military preparedness, stockpile sustainability and the potential duration of any widening Middle East conflict. While Trump projected confidence in America’s readiness, his acknowledgement that the highest-end arsenal is “not where we want to be” may fuel questions about long-term strategic depth if tensions escalate further.
