Mehr, citing a source close to Iran's negotiating team, said the draft accord also provides for a 60-day negotiation period aimed at reaching an agreement on Tehran's nuclear programme.

The proposed framework stipulates "60 days of negotiations to reach an agreement on nuclear issues and the complete lifting of US primary and secondary sanctions," the report said.

Iranian media also reported that the potential agreement envisages the release of $24 billion in frozen Iranian assets.
