New Delhi: Deliveries of the indigenous LCA Mk1A fighter jets have been delayed and the first aircraft is expected to join service by the end of November, officials said on Wednesday.

The fighters were to be initially delivered by July but have been delayed, as engine manufacturer GE has been unable to deliver the GE 404 engines owing to supply chain issues. Officials expressed the hope that Hindustan Aeronautics Limited would be able to deliver at least eight of the jets in this financial year.
