The Southern Naval Command would conduct a two-day coastal security awareness campaign (CSACs) along the coastal villages of Kerala's Thrissur District from tomorrow.

KOCHI: The Southern Naval Command would conduct a two-day coastal security awareness campaign (CSACs) along the coastal villages of Kerala's Thrissur District from tomorrow.

The campaign is aimed at bringing in awareness about the threats from the sea and the way coastal populace can help in tackling the challenge besides the various safety precautions to be taken by fishermen at sea.

The campaign will be formally inaugurated tomorrow morning, a Navy release said.

It would be undertaken in other villages namely Natika beach, Chettuva harbour and Puthenkadapuram, Chavakkad.

The camp would be co-ordinated by the Naval Officer in charge(Kerala).

Department of Fisheries and coastal police will also participate in the campaign.
