Indian Army trials Vayu Astra-1: Nibe Limited successfully tests 100-km strike loitering munition

Nibe Limited has successfully completed technical trials of its indigenous Vayu Astra-1 loitering munition system, designed for precision strikes and modern battlefield operations. Conducted at Pokhran in Rajasthan and Joshimath in Uttarakhand, the trials demonstrated a 100-km strike range, high-precision targeting, night strike capability, control transfer functions and high-altitude endurance flying above 14,000 feet. The company said the system also showcased abort and re-attack functions along with reusable recovery capability.
