India successfully test-fires nuclear-capable Agni-3 ballistic missile from Odisha
India on Friday successfully carried out a test launch of the Agni-III intermediate-range ballistic missile, marking another milestone in the country’s strategic missile programme.

The missile was test-fired from the Integrated Test Range. According to the Ministry of Defence, the launch met all mission objectives and validated the missile’s operational as well as technical parameters.

The test was conducted under the supervision of the Strategic Forces Command, which is responsible for managing the country’s strategic assets. The defence ministry confirmed the successful trial through an official statement.



"Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile Agni3 was successfully test-fired from the Integrated Test Range, Chandipur, Odisha on 06 Feb 2026. The launch validated all operational & technical parameters and was conducted under the aegis of the Strategic Forces Command," the Rajnath Singh-led Defence Ministry's post read.
