NEW DELHI: The US President-elect Donald Trump must reassess US policy towards Pakistan and align with Russia, India, Iran and China to stabilise the wartorn nation, said former Afghan istan President Hamid Karzai.

“Trump must look deep into what went wrong in American policies in Afghanistan few years after Taliban was rooted out. ISI exploited the situation and revived Taliban movement. Afghans were disenchanted and circumstances failed us,” noted Karzai in a talk with MoS MJ Akbar at the concluding session of the Raisina Dialogue here on Thursday.

The former President did not hide his frustration on how USA failed him during his Presidency. He also added that situation will not improve unless Washington influences Pakistan.
