IAF to hold 'Ultra Marathon' to mark 50th year of 1965 war
NEW DELHI: Indian Air Force is organising an ' Ultra Marathon' from Air Force Station Pathankot to Air Force Station Hindon covering a distance of around 574 km over a period of 11 days to mark the golden jubilee of the 1965 Indo-Pak war.

The team will be flagged off by Air Commodore J S Dhamoon AOC, Pathankot tomorrow and the expedition will culminate at Hindon on September 19.

Seven air warriors will be participating in this unique endeavour, covering on an average distance of 60 km per day.

Air warriors from en route air bases will be joining the team for a distance of 14 km, 21 km and 42 km, a statement by the IAF said.
