Mohan, on the concluding day of his two-day visit to Jammu, chaired another high-level meeting to review the ongoing anti-terror operations and drone incursions along the borders. The meetings in Jammu happened a week after Union home minister Amit Shah on January 8 directed security forces to "continue operations targeting terrorist infrastructure and terror financing in a mission mode".
The home secretary called on the LG at the Lok Bhavan in the morning and held discussions on wide-ranging issues. Officials informed that they discussed and reviewed the current security situation. "Inter-agency coordination among the police, paramilitary forces, Army and intelligence agencies was also discussed," officials said.
Security forces have been engaged in massive anti-terror operations, especially in high-altitude areas across Jammu, for over three years now, where foreign infiltrators are hiding in the dense forest areas. BSF and Army maintain that these infiltrators pose a major challenge for the security grid, especially in Jammu.
