Hizbul Mujahideen militant arrested in Jammu and Kashmir

SRINAGAR: Security forces have arrested a militant belonging to Hizbul Mujahideen from a hospital here, police sources said today.

Amir Wagay, alias Ibn-e-Qasim, was arrested from SKIMS hospital in Soura area of the city here yesterday, the sources said.

They said Wagay, a resident of Goriwan area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir's Anantnag district, was associated with Hizbul Mujahideen.

The sources said Wagay has been taken into custody and is being questioned.
