More than 60 others were injured in Hezbollah's Sunday assault on the encampment south of Haifa, the most severe of a spate of recent rocket salvos in the area around Israel's third-largest city. Sirens sounded across central Israel on Monday due to a number of projectiles fired from Lebanon, all of which were intercepted. The incident showed Hezbollah can still strike up to 40 kilometers into Israel.

The Hezbollah militant group is mainly present in the south of the country and the southern suburbs of Beirut.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has told United Nations peacekeepers to withdraw from southern Lebanon "immediately" after several were wounded last week in an incident that Israel said happened when the army was targeting Hezbollah positions. Separately, an Israeli strike on a hospital courtyard in the Gaza Strip Monday killed at least four people and triggered a fire that swept through a tent camp for people displaced by the war, according to Palestinian medics.
