Gurdaspur attack: District administration bans movement along India-Pakistan border at night
GURDASPUR: The district administration today banned the dusk to dawn movement along the International border here in the wake of recent terror strike in Dinanagar police station in which three militants and seven others, including four cops were killed.

In an official release, District Magistrate Dr Abhinav Trikha banned all types of movements in the 500 meters along the Indo-Pak border from 8 pm to 5 am.

However, the ban orders would not apply on the Army, BSF, CRPF and employees of Excise and Taxation who were deployed on the duty on the border.

The ban will remain in force till October 3.

On July 27, heavily-armed militants crossed over from Pakistan and sprayed bullets on a moving bus and stormed a police station, killing seven persons, including an SP.
