Global security czars' meet in India likely

Security czars of the world's leading nations have been invited for the meet, ET has learnt. This is the first time that India would host such a meet, though leading powers host such meets regularly.

Cross-border terror, terror infrastructure, financing and extremism are expected to figure at the meet to be attended by NSA AK Doval. Contemporary global challenges, including the Indo-Pacific are also expected to figure in the meet.
India is expected to host a meeting of security and intelligence chiefs of over 20 countries in soon. The meet is likely to deliberate on critical security challenges and geopolitical challenges, including Afghanistan and Ukraine.

Until now, India has held only bilateral meets of security czars, including those from US and Russia. Last year, the Russian NSA and CIA chief visited India close on the heels of Taliban's takeover of Afghanistan. Later, the Indian NSA hosted NSAs of all five Central Asian states and Russia and Iran for a dialogue on Afghanistan and threats from regional terror.
