Additionally, Army troops performed yoga in Eastern Ladakh, and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police held a yoga session at Muguthang Sub Sector in Sikkim, over 15,000 feet above sea level.
The ITBP has been promoting Yoga at different high-altitude Himalayan ranges on India-China borders including Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand over the years by performing Yoga asanas.
From Ladakh in the north to Sikkim in the east, ITBP Jawans performed Yoga asanas on the occasion of 10th International Yoga Day.
The ITBP personnel performed Yoga at Karzok in Leh.
The Border Security Force personnel posted mesmerising visuals of BSF jawans performing Yoga at zero line at the Joint Check post at Attari, Amritsar under the supervision of Brig Pawan Bajaj (Retd), DIG BSF.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi led celebrations of the 10th International Day of Yoga at Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Army Chief Gen Manoj Pande, accompanied by Indian Army personnel, participated in Yoga exercises in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, to mark International Yoga Day 2024."I would like to extend my wishes on the occasion of International Yoga Day 2024. It is being celebrated throughout the world with great fervour. It is a matter of pride that the world has adopted this cultural heritage. The reason for its popularity is that it has become a symbol of a healthy lifestyle," Rajnath Singh said.
He further said that working in this direction Prime Minister Narendra Modi kept the concept of Yoga in front of the world and everyone adopted it.
This year's event highlights the significant influence of Yoga on the physical and mental well-being of youth. It aims to bring together thousands in practicing Yoga, promoting global health and wellness.
The theme for this year, "Yoga for Self and Society," underscores the crucial role of Yoga in nurturing personal health as well as fostering harmony within communities.
