In the field of defence today, the crucial developments were the Handwara terror attack and Pakistan's growing acceptance of its international isolation after the Uri attack.

1) Three terrorists attacked an Indian Army’s Rashtriya Rifles camp in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir today morning. The army killed them and recovered large quantities of arms and ammunition from them.
2) Protesting residents of Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) said their lives have been made a living hell by the presence of terrorist training camps thriving in the area.
3) Facing international isolation, Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif has warned his military not to shield militant groups and directed the authorities to conclude the Pathankot terror attack probe.
4) Pakistan Army Chief General Raheel Sharif today gave a warning against India that any aggression or a "strategic miscalculation" against his country will not go unpunished.
