1) Fifteen Pakistan Rangers were killed by the Border Security Force (BSF) in retaliatory fire to a ceasefire violation along the International Border (IB) with Pakistan.
2) Delhi Police has arrested a third person in the espionage racket on Indian armed forces deployment along the India-Pakistan border, allegedly led by a Pakistan High Commission staff member.A 26/11 type attack was being planned.
3) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Japan next month for an annual summit. The Asian giants are expected to deepen defence ties to counter an assertive China.
4) India’s armed forces have embarked on a shopping spree for modern assault rifles, body armor and helmets, providing a potential boost to global arms suppliers.

6) China will unveil its new generation J-20 stealth fighter jet at an air show next week. The first public showing of a warplane China hopes will narrow the military gap with the United States.
7) In an interesting move, China is displaying a nuclear powered attack submarine to the public to boosts the people's confidence in the country's growing naval power.
