India
1) Rohingya terror group Aqa Mul Mujahideen blamed for the recent attacks on Myanmar border outposts by the country's president not only maintains links with the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) but is learnt to have developed ties with the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) cell in Jammu and Kashmir.

2) Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar today expressed regret over the loss of lives in the deadly attack on a police training academy in Pakistan's Quetta, saying such incidents show why one should not create "uncontrollable violence".

3) In a clear reference to Pakistan, India and Bahrain have said that a terrorist in one country cannot be glorified as a freedom fighter by another.

4) Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer cannot escape Indian laws just because it has struck a settlement with the US authorities over corruption in sale of planes to India and three other countries, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said today.

9) The US Navy’s USS Decatur on Friday challenged China's "excessive maritime claims" near the Paracel Islands. It was the first time such a freedom of navigation operation has been conducted.
