A high-calibre bomb was successfully tested on Sunday at the Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory (TBRL), a facility under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), in Ramgarh in Haryana’s Panchkula district. The trial was conducted under strict safety measures and in the presence of senior Air Force officials.

Officials confirmed that the test was completed successfully and followed all established safety protocols.

Ahead of the scheduled trial, TBRL, the district administration, and police authorities issued a high alert in the area. Enhanced surveillance was also put in place across surrounding locations as part of security arrangements.

Authorities had assessed that fragments from the bomb could travel up to 1.5 kilometres during the test. In view of this, a 2-kilometre radius was declared a sensitive zone. Residents of Bhanu and Billa villages were specifically advised to exercise extreme caution.
