The President further said he is not considering extending the ceasefire, adding that he does not believe an extension will be necessary.
The ceasefire, brokered after weeks of heightened tensions and military exchanges between Iran and Israel, has been viewed as a fragile pause in hostilities. While it has helped cool immediate conflict risks, uncertainty remains over whether it can translate into a sustained peace framework.

Trump’s remarks suggest a shift toward prioritising a negotiated resolution over interim extensions, even as the situation on the ground remains fluid.
