Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to visit India on August 18 for border talks with NSA Ajit Doval
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is scheduled to visit India on Monday for discussions with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. The talks, conducted under the Special Representatives mechanism, will primarily address the current border situation...

The discussions are expected to focus on the ongoing border situation and measures to maintain stability along the Line of Actual Control. This mechanism, led by the NSA from the Indian side and the Foreign Minister from the Chinese side, has been a key channel for high-level engagement on boundary matters.
ET had, on August 8, reported that Wang Yi was likely to visit India in the coming days for discussions with Doval under the Special Representatives framework.
Beijing representative's visit to New Delhi also comes ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s expected trip to China for the SCO summit from August 31 to September 1.
Doval and Wang last met in June when the NSA travelled to China for the SCO NSA meet. Discussions this time are expected to cover the ongoing border situation, measures to maintain stability along the Line of Actual Control, and the regional security environment.
