New Delhi: The Centre has sanctioned deployment of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel for securing the NATGRID campus in Bengaluru.

A spokesperson for the paramilitary force said on Sunday that the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has sanctioned a total of 76 posts for the task.

The NATGRID (national intelligence grid) is a critical national security infrastructure that aggregates data from multiple intelligence and law enforcement databases to support counter-terrorism operations, the CISF spokesperson said.

It has got a campus in Yelahanka in Karnataka's capital Bengaluru. Its headquarters in Delhi is already secured by the CISF to provide security against terrorist attacks and sabotage.
